The Nightmare Before Christmas

My Littlest Kenny turned 2 on Sept. 11 and he loves movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline and now 9??? Why I don't know seems kind of dark and ominous to me, but he likes them, so I made him a cake with Jack and the characters from a Nightmare Before Christmas.
The cake is a super moist red velvet with a white chocolate filling and butter cream frosting. The butter I used was from Clover Leaf Creamery a local creamery out of Buhl ID. It was totally yummy and creamy!!!  Over all, this cake was awesome!
Oh yeah, and happy birthday to my little monster!

Old Fashioned Pancakes

For something different, and cheaper, I made homemade pancakes. These were super easy and they actually taste better than the mixes you find at the store. Although these are just vanilla pancakes with syrup, I think you we could get very creative with fruit, whole wheat, or anything that goes well on flap jacks!
I am not a pancake fan, but these were very yummy and will probably be a staple at our house!

Peach and Raspberry Pie

It's fall and all the fruit is ripe and ready for pie...and honestly pie just tastes better in the fall! This pie is a Peach and Raspberry pie, plain and simple.
Jeron is my biggest fan, and my very own baking assistant!
